COOLIDGE, Ariz. -- A high school teacher has been arrested on suspicion of having 50 porn images of children under the age of 13 on his computer, Maricopa County sheriff's deputies said.

Deputies said Alfonso Padilla, 36, was arrested Thursday night on probable cause of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor at Coolidge High School in Coolidge, where he is a computer teacher.

Padilla's wife turned over his computer hard drive to an attorney during divorce proceedings, according to court paperwork. The lawyer saw the pornographic images on Padilla's hard drive and turned the hard driver over to MCSO, court documents said.

Deputies executing a search warrant of the computer discovered more than 50 sexually graphic images of children under the age of 13.

Investigators said Padilla admitted that he had been fired from Higley High School about three years ago for inappropriate conduct with a minor through the use of a computer.

Padilla is being held in the county jail on a $63,000 bond.
