PHOENIX -- Department of Public Safety officers arrested a man Thursday morning on identity theft charges after he presented a driver's license identifying him as a Florida Marlins relief pitcher, authorities said.According to a news release from DPS, officers first stopped the pickup truck on suspicion of having a poorly inflated tire, and the driver presented a Puerto Rican driver's license identifying him as Enrique Calero Carrion -- the full name of Florida Marlins relief pitcher "Kiko" Calero.Officers requested more information, and the man, who was later identified as Oscar Corral through fingerprints, presented a social security card that appeared to be forged, DPS said. After officers arrested Corral, 41, they discovered the social security number belonged to Calero while he played for the Oakland Athletics, DPS said. The statement from DPS also said officers suspect Calero was a victim of undetected identity theft.Corral, a Mexican national living in Chandler, was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on charges of identity theft, possession of forged instruments, offering forged instruments and false reporting to a law enforcement officer.
