SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Scottsdale police have arrested a woman in connection with the death of Dale Webber, whose body was found by a landscaper on May 14 in a back yard hot tub.Morgan Leigh Adams, 26, was booked into Scottsdale City Jail on charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy and robbery. She was arraigned on Friday and held in custody on a $1 million cash bond.Police said Webber had been dead for a number of days prior to the discovery of his body. The medical examiner's office later determined that Webber died from a single gunshot wound he received while in the spa."We were able to develop information that the murder was committed during a robbery at the victim's home," said Sgt. Mark Clark of the Scottsdale Police Department. In the following weeks, a police investigation led detectives to Adams, the victim's former girlfriend.According to a police probable cause statement, Adams and Webber had dated three years ago and lived together for about one month. After they broke up, Adams continued to use and buy OxyContin from Webber, the police statement said.During an investigation, police noted Webber's handgun and cell phone were missing. Police said Adams admitted to knowing that Webber owned guns."The investigation into Mr. Webber's death is ongoing as detectives follow up on more leads," Clark said.
