ST. JOHNS, Ariz. -- Evaluations that have kept a judge from setting a sentencing date for a 9-year-old eastern Arizona boy who shot and killed his father's roommate have been turned in to the court.A statement posted on the Apache County Superior Court Web site Wednesday said that the pre-sentencing evaluations by two experts have been filed but won't be made public. Now that the court and attorneys have received them, a sentencing date can be set.Judge Michael Roca is expected to do that during a hearing next week in St. Johns. The boy struck a deal with prosecutors in February in which he pleaded guilty to negligent homicide in the Nov. 5 death of Timothy Romans, 39. Prosecutors dropped charges against the boy in the death of his father, 29-year-old Vincent Romero.
