SWAT Team Nabs Suspected Bank Robber

PHOENIX -- A Glendale SWAT team have arrested a man in connection with a Chase Bank holdup on Camelback Road on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.Officers surrounded a home at 111th Avenue and Indian School Road on Wednesday and when they went in armed with a search warrant, they took one person into custody without incident.According to a news release from the Glendale Police Department, the man walked into the bank just before 4 p.m. Tuesday and handed the teller a note requesting money. He also verbally demanded cash.He told the teller he had a weapon, though he didn't show it, and he fled on foot after receiving the money, police said.
