5-Year-Old Boy Shot, Killed At Home

MESA, Ariz. -- A 5-year-old boy died after being shot in the stomach at his home in Mesa on Monday morning.The boy, who was home with his father, was shot by a 9-mm handgun and died later at the hospital at about 9:30 a.m.Maricopa County sheriff's deputies are still investigating but said they suspect the boy was playing with the gun when it went off and hit him.The name of the child and family has not been released at this time.
