PHOENIX -- Crews are still working to put out hotspots from Thursday night's fire in Queen Creek, according to scanner traffic.

The fire completely consumed the 5,000-square foot house near Higley and Riggs roads, Gilbert Fire Department spokesman Mike Connor said Thursday.

Though some of the family members were at home when the fire started, they all made it out safely, Connor said.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is investigating the blaze's cause.
