MESA, Ariz. -- A missing 85-year-old woman was located in her car late Wednesday night by search and rescue crews in a remote area outside of Tucson, according to a spokesman from the Mesa Police Department.

Police Sgt. Ed Wessing said Betty Mae Henderson was driven to a nearby hospital as a precaution after crews found her, but she is expected to be OK.

An air and ground search began early Wednesday in Pinal County after Henderson was reported missing after she failed to show up for a card game Tuesday night.

A friend of hers told police that Henderson said she was lost, but had contacted auto club AAA and was waiting for someone to show up.
