UPDATED: 11:41 am MST June 15, 2009

Police arrested two men on suspicion of stealing items from an arts and crafts festival at the Prescott courthouse on Sunday.

A security guard noticed Larry Oloff, 24, handing a large box from under a display tent to Jason Tunks, 24, at about 1:45 a.m., according to a news release from the Prescott Police Department.

Tunks fled with the box as Oloff crawled out from the tent and followed, police said. The security guard chased Oloff and pepper sprayed him, according to police.

Police later arrested Tunks, who had stopped his truck to pick up Oloff.

Both men had items that were stored in the tent, including jewelry and salsa, police said.

Police booked Oloff and Tunks on suspicion of burglary and released them on bail.
