Deputies Arrest Man On 41 Sex Charges

PHOENIX -- A Spring Valley man is being held without bond on 41 charges relating to child molestation, authorities said.In a news release from the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, public information officer Dwight D'Evelyn said Jose Munoz-Posadas was arrested early Saturday morning, less that one day after detectives met with Children's Protective Service personnel about a sex crimes investigation.During the meeting with CPS, detectives spoke with three victims who identified Munoz-Posadas as the man who sexually abused them, D'Evelyn said.Two of the victims, who are in their late teens, had been abused for about eight years; the younger victim, a preteen, had been abused over the past six years, D'Evelyn said.The oldest victim related incidents of molestation and sexual intercourse, while the other two said Munoz-Posadas repeatedly molested them, D'Evelyn said.The three victims, who are female, are not related to Munoz-Posadas, D'Evelyn said.Based on the timeline of abuse, he has been charged with 41 counts, including molestation of a child, sexual conduct with a minor, sexual abuse and continuous sexual abuse of a child, D'Evelyn said.Munoz-Posadas will appear in court June 4, D'Evelyn said.
