BAGDAD, Ariz. -- Yavapai County sheriff's deputies arrested a man on suspicion of molesting a 5-year-old girl on Monday.

The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said they apprehended David Kohler, 18, of Congress, on suspicion of kidnapping and child molestation after deputies responded to a report of sexual harassment in the town of Bagdad.

Family members of the suspect told deputies that Kohler had molested the girl inside a locked bathroom, according to the statement.

When Kohler was confronted by his family, he became aggressive, and had to be restrained by family members, according to deputies.

The victim, whose name was not released, was treated by medics, according to the statement. The investigation is still ongoing.
