CHANDLER, Ariz. -- A Chandler police report reveals new details about a fatal love triangle involving a high school teacher.The report says the teacher and her fiance did not try to help Sam Valdivia after he was stabbed at Hofmann’s Chandler home last Friday.Police say the 18-year-old El Dorado high school student was stabbed to death by the teacher’s fiance, also a former student, after the fiance walked in on them in her house.Sixto Balbuena is charged with murder and is being held on bond.The report also reveals what happened after Balbuena called 911 to report the stabbing.It said officers “found Balbuena and Tamara Hofmann sitting quietly on couches in the living room.""Both had what appeared to be blood stains on their bodies and clothing," officers said.The report also said officers said Balbuena admitted stabbing Valdivia and then directed them to bathroom.Officers said they found Valdivia unconscious and bleeding on the bathroom floor.Officers said they asked Hofmann and Balbuena if they tried to help Valdivia.According to the report, they had not.At the Chandler Police Department, Balbuena told investigators he and Hofmann were romantically involved when he was in high school.The report said Balbuena told investigators “he first met her when he was a freshman or sophomore ... a relationship formed. By the time he was a junior, he and Hofmann were regularly engaging in sexual intercourse.”Balbuena said they had a regular spot they would go to in Hofmann's car approximately three times a week."Balbuena said he felt remorse for stabbing Valdivia," according to the report.Before he was informed Valdivia was dead, he wrote him a note.According to police, the note said, "I feel sorry for the hurt that I have caused you. I bid you luck and a safe recovery."
