GLENDALE, Ariz. -- After hearing about the story on CBS 5 News, a Phoenix company has agreed to clean up a Glendale house where a man passed away earlier this year. The man passed away in February inside his house at Maryland Manor in Glendale. His body was not discovered and removed, however, until mid-March.On Tuesday, neighbors who live nearby said the house continued to exude a dead-body smell. There were also flies crawling on the outside of the porch door. No one had cleaned up the house after the body was removed, according to neighbors."I want somebody to come in and do what they need to do and clean that out," said Bernadette Nuanez, who lives about 50 feet away in a nearby condo."It's something I've never smelled before," added Easter Williams, another neighbor. "And it's nauseating."It was unclear on Tuesday, though, whose responsibility it was to clean up the house and rectify the problem. On Wednesday, CBS 5 News received a statement from Mutual Management Services Inc., which manages the property, saying it was working with "the deceased's family, the mortgage company, the (Homeowner) Association's attorney" and city officials to find a solution.CBS 5 News also received an e-mail Wednesday from an employee of Arizona Fire & Water Restoration Inc. They are a full-service restoration company that focuses on things like fire damage, water damage, odor control and dead-body cleanup. They offered to treat and deodorize the house and remove the odor at no cost. CBS 5 News contacted the management company and made them aware of the offer.Arrangements have now been made for Arizona Fire & Water Restoration to clean up the house Thursday morning."We actually look for community service like this," said Lyle Book, the president of Arizona Fire & Water Restoration. "We're pleased to be able to do this. We have the opportunity here and we can pass on the community. We're happy to do that."The cleanup will begin at 10 a.m.
