A driver hit and killed a 25-year-old man with a Hummer H2 after a fight at a Mesa club early Sunday morning, police said.

The victim, identified as Jeremy Privett, 25, was hit by the white Hummer in the parking lot of the Salty Senorita at about 2:20 a.m. after the fight, said Sgt. Ed Wessing of the Mesa Police Department.

Witnesses at the scene said it appeared intentional, Wessing said. The Hummer drove away without stopping, he said.

The fight involved the man who was killed, and the driver and at least one passenger of the Hummer, Wessing said.

A police officer later spotted the Hummer driving to a Gilbert house.

Police are interviewing two men who were in the home. No arrests have been made.

"I'd just like to say what a great grandson he was," said Gene Privett, the victim's grandfather. "Jeremy is the kind of kid that every parent loves to have. He grows up he's energetic, he's industrious, he succeeds at everything he did."

Police ask that anyone who witnessed the altercation at the Salty Senorita to contact the Mesa Police Department at 480-644-2211.
