PHOENIX -- Arizonans favor a four-day work week, which has been adopted by several states, according to a Cronkite-Eight poll by Arizona State University."Over 70 percent of registered voters in Arizona support that," said pollster Bruce Merrill. "When we looked at the demographics, it crossed all political and demographic lines. In other words, almost everybody we talked to in Arizona is strongly in favor of that proposition."Gov. Janet Napolitano has ordered a study to find out if a four-day work week would work in Arizona. However, it should be noted the study involves only state employees. The statewide poll of 402 registered voters was conducted Aug. 14-16. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percent.
