Police: Men Created $6,000 In Fake Bills

PHOENIX -- Scottsdale police arrested two men accused of passing more than $500 worth of counterfeit bills, authorities said.According to police reports, James Johnson, 25, passed more than $500 in counterfeit bills at the Skin Cabaret on Scottsdale Road on Friday. When he returned on Saturday evening, employees recognized him and called Scottsdale police, officers said.During questioning, Johnson admitted his involvement in passing the fake bills the night before, police said.After executing a search warrant at a Phoenix home with the help of the Secret Service and Phoenix police, Scottsdale police found more counterfeit money -- nearly $6,000 worth -- and printing equipment, police said. At that point, police arrested Shannon Daugherty, 37, for his role in the operation, officers said.Daugherty and Johnson were both arrested on forgery-related charges.
