Police: Man Is Stabbed, Tries To Drive To ER

PHOENIX -- Police are investigating a stabbing Friday morning that was originally thought to be a road rage incident, authorities said.Eugene Villa, 28, stabbed Nathan Rawlins, 31, at Rawlins' home in Glendale, police said. The victim attempted to drive himself to the hospital and crashed into a light pole, authorities said.Rawlins was able to make a brief statement to the first responding officer before paramedics took him to a local trauma center, Glendale police said.Officers said the man told them Villa stabbed him.
Police said the victim was in surgery with life-threatening injuries at the time of the report, and it is not known if he will survive.Villa sustained a minor injury.
