  • The man walked up to a 13-year-old girl in the 2300 block of Glenrosa Avenue around 8 p.m. Tuesday and spoke with her, officers said during a news briefing on Wednesday. The man then ran to a car and drove out of the neighborhood.

Investigators said the man poses an immediate threat to the safety of children in the community and Silent Witness posted a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the attacker.

The serial predator has targeted children and teens between the ages of 7 and 17, said Sgt. Paul Penzone. He said all of the attacks have occurred between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Police said the man is targeting an area between N. 19th Ave. and Interstate 17, from W. Indian School Road to W. Camelback Road.

The man is described as Hispanic and is believed to be between 20 and 30 years old. He is 5 feet 2 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs between 150 and 250 pounds.

The attacker has a heavy build with a pot belly, police said. The man has plucked eyebrows, short, spiky dark-brown hair and is clean shaven.

He is possibly wearing dark-rimmed glasses in some of the cases.

He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, blue jean shorts and black tennis shoes.
