PHOENIX -- A love triangle involving a man, his girlfriend and his father resulted in a 60-mile police chase Tuesday evening, authorities said.

Andrew Soza, 37, kidnapped his 69-year-old father at gunpoint in Casa Grande after he discovered his dad was seeing his girlfriend, police said.

Partway through the chase, Soza threw the gun out the window, authorities said. He then got off at Northern Road and drove into a Goodwill Store parking lot.

Police said they barricaded the parking lot and arrested Soza.
