PHOENIX -- A teen was shot and killed during a series of fights that broke out around 2 a.m. Sunday at a restaurant at 12019 N. 19th Ave., police said.

Dozens of people were gathered inside and outside of the restaurant when a series of fights broke out, said Sgt. Andy Hill of the Phoenix Police Department.

The incident spread out to the parking lot and street where a number of shots were fired, Hill said.

Andrew Nakhokkong, 15, was shot in the back when someone fired at his vehicle and was transported by others to a local hospital where he died Sunday morning, Hill said.

Investigators have been conducting many interviews, Hill said.
