Dad Finds Felon Having Sex With Daughter, 15

UPDATED: 5:24 pm MST July 10, 2008

The father of a 15-year-old girl discovered a convicted felon having sex with his daughter in her bedroom at 3 a.m., Chandler police said.

Officers said they tried reaching Justin Lee, 23, on his cell phone after, they said, he fled from the house. They said that when he refused to return, he was tracked by a police dog and taken into custody.

Lee admitted during a recorded interview that he met the girl on MySpace and arranged to come to her Chandler home at her invitation, according to the police report

Lee said he drove from Avondale to meet the girl and she snuck him into the home after her father fell asleep, the report said. He said he suspected the girl was underage but estimated her to be 17 years old, according to the report.

The report said Lee denied seeing her age on her MySpace profile and said there were never any discussions about how old she was.

“I just didn’t think,” Lee told investigators. “I knew the signs were there that she was young.”

Lee told investigators that his hormones got the best of him and he only went to the girl’s house to have sex with her.

Court records show that Lee was arrested in 2002 on a shoplifting charge. In 2004, he was charged with possession of a forgery device and in 2007, he was ticketed for failure to stop on a red light.
