PHOENIX -- Police arrested a man accused of robbing a pizza delivery carrier at gunpoint Tuesday, authorities said.

Craig Timberlake, 22, forced the pizza delivery man into a vacant apartment in the Tempe complex, demanded the carrier give him his cash, cell phone and the pizza, police said. Timberlake then forced the victim to wait in the bathroom while he made his getaway.

Detectives said they later discovered the caller who phoned in the pizza order called from an apartment in the same complex. Police contacted the apartment's residents, one of whom was Timberlake.

Timberlake confessed to his involvement in the robbery, officers said. He has been charged with armed robbery.
