A Gilbert teen was killed and three others hospitalized after a wreck Wednesday night.

Police said the four boys were riding in a 2000 Ford Explorer when it crashed shortly before 9:15 p.m. near Ranch House Parkway and Germann Road.

Two of the boys were ejected from the vehicle.

Dylan Beaver, 15, was pronounced dead at the scene. The three other boys were airlifted to area hospitals, two with life-threatening injuries.

Police said some of the boys were students at Williams Field High School and counseling would be provided for classmates in need.

A police reconstruction team is investigating how the crash occurred.

The past week has been a dangerous one for teens on Valley streets.

Late Saturday, one teen suffered life-threatening injuries and another was hurt when their car hit some trees and rolled over in Peoria. The driver was trying to perform a stunt to post on YouTube.com.

In another wreck Wednesday, one teen was killed and six hospitalized when their sport utility vehicle rolled off the road near Sky Harbor Airport. None of the teens were wearing seat belts, and several were ejected from the SUV.

On Thursday morning, two high school students were injured when their car hit a train in Florence.
