LAKE MONTEZUMA, Ariz. -- A goose with an arrow through its abdomen was found Wednesday morning wandering through a golf course in Lake Montezuma.According to the Yavapi County Sheriff's Office, the goose was found near a pond on the Beaver Creek Golf Course in pain and close to death.To prevent greater suffering, the goose was euthanized, the YCSO said.The YCSO said the goose was found by a golf course employee who told officers he was unable to locate anyone who may have injured the animal.The incident is currently under the investigation of YCSO Animal Control.The YCSO Animal Control asks anyone with information on this case to contact the Animal Cruelty Task Force Hotline at 928-771-3595 or the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office at (928)771-3260.
