Home Invasion Leads To Car Salesman's Arrest

GOLD CANYON, Ariz. -- An east Valley car salesman was arrested Wednesday in connection with a home invasion and robbery in Gold Canyon, Pinal County sheriff's detectives said.Jamin Joel Martinez, 27, of Gold Canyon, was booked into the Pinal County Jail for felony counts of robbery and possession/trafficking stolen property.A man armed with a black handgun entered a Gold Canyon residence around 9 p.m. on Jan. 21 and robbed the homeowners of jewelry and cash.The invader fled with goods valued at about $15,000, detectives said. No one was injured.The case was turned over to PCSO's robbery/homicide unit. Investigators working with Mesa Police Department detectives recovered several of the stolen items from local pawn shops.A search warrant of Martinez's Gold Canyon home uncovered the majority of the remaining stolen items as well as one firearm, deputies said.
