Police: Workers Held Tractor Hostage

SELIGMAN, Ariz. -- A stolen semi tractor was returned to its owners after allegedly being held hostage by two employees in Seligman, Ariz., according to the Yavapai County Sherriff’s Office.On Jan. 29, management from the Cryogenic Transportation Company contacted YCSO to report a stolen 2005 International semi tractor.The tractor was scheduled to arrive at Cryogenic’s terminal in Albuquerque, N.M., but it never showed up.The tractor was equipped with a global positioning transponder and the company was able to track the location of the tractor to the Seligman area west of Flagstaff, YCSO said.
The last two known drivers of the vehicle were Thomas Gosling Sr., 55, and Cherylin Miller, 57, according to YCSO.Cryogenic Company managers contacted YCSO and said they had made contact with Gosling, who admitted he was in possession of the tractor, the Sheriff’s Office said.Gosling agreed to return the tractor in exchange for his paycheck, said YCSO.Cryogenic arranged a meeting and exchange with Gosling and Miller on Feb. 14. at a Seligman gas station. Detectives and highway patrol officers were present at the meeting.According to the Sherriff’s Office, Gosling and Miller arrived with the tractor and were both arrested and charged with theft of means of transportation.The tractor was returned to Cryogenic management in good condition.
