Missing Chandler Girl Found Safe

CHANDLER, Ariz. -- A 13-year-old Chandler girl who went missing around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday was located on Wednesday by someone who identified her from a flier, according to police.Police said Ana Lee was found walking near Riggs Road and Woods Place by a resident who recognized her and called police.Lee was last seen at the end of the school day Tuesday by her classmates at Santan K-8 Campus near Cooper and Chandler Heights roads.Officers said it appears the girl had roamed the streets Tuesday night as a runaway.Chandler and Gila River police were joined by Maricopa County Sheriff's Office ground and helicopter units in an extensive search for the girl, but officers were unable to find her.The girl had been adopted from Russia with her sister about three years ago.Her parents have been on vacation for two weeks and an older sibling was keeping an eye on the children, authorities said.
