Transsexual Charged With Indecent Exposure

POSTED: 12:25 pm MST November 5, 2007
UPDATED: 12:51 pm MST November 5, 2007

A transsexual woman exposed herself to two men and a 13-year-old boy, then threatened them with a BB gun, Mesa police said.

Police said Kendra Moore, 44, was arguing with her neighbor Saturday morning over whether she had thrown an egg in his driveway.

According to court paperwork, the argument escalated and the neighbor made comments about Moore being a man. Moore, who recently underwent sex reassignment surgery, insisted she was a woman and pulled her pants down to prove it, the paperwork shows.

The neighbor's father and 13-year-old son were present.

After Moore pulled her pants back up, the neighbor picked up a crowbar, according to the paperwork.

Moore ran back to her house and returned with a BB gun, which she pointed at the neighbor and his family, the paperwork shows.

"I held it like a soldier and pointed it at them for a second and then I pulled it away," Moore said.

The neighbor took his family inside and called police.

Moore was arrested on charges of indecent exposure and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The incident was not the first altercation between Moore and her neighbor, according to the paperwork.
