PHOENIX -- A Maricopa County jury has ruled Sheriff Joe Arpaio did not defame political rival Dan Saban, Buckeye police chief, during the 2004 election.
VIDEO: Dennis Wilenchik, Sheriff's Attorney, Reacts Saban accused Arpaio of defamation when both of them were running for sheriff.It centered around a TV report highlighting an old accusation against Saban.Saban accused Arpaio of using his office to humiliate him.
VIDEO: Dan Saban And His Attorney React A civil suit Saban filed claimed that he was defamed when the Sheriff's Office launched a criminal probe on a rape accusation and then tipped-off local media.Arpaio claimed it was the TV station's fault for running the story.
