CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Sex is the center of attention in one Chandler church.Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Pastor Linn Winters decided to start preaching a series about it after so many people asked for marital counseling, saying sex and pornography were the problems."The common denominator that we're finding in almost every situation is people's involvement in pornography," Winters said.Church research found that people in Chandler are busy on Google. "Chandler, Arizona uses the fourth highest search in the nation for the words XXX, porn and sex," Winters said.Winters prays that the series will not only solve the sex problems, but will lead people closer to God in other areas of their lives. "You know the Bible talks about sex, but it talks about a lot of other stuff we're all struggling with. How do I manage my job? How do I take care of my kids? What does a good home look like? Those have yet to be answered by a lot of people."Winters said it's a common issue. "Every church has this. Every church is struggling because we're dealing with real people, dealing with real issues in their lives. And although some of us hide it a little better, the reality is it's out there and people are struggling."And a lot of people are coming to listen.Winters said church attendance jumped by 2,000 people since the month-long "Bringing Sexy Back" series started two weeks ago. They've had to add additional Sunday services, and a Saturday service to accommodate the crowds.Services are Sundays at 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.There is also a Saturday service during the length of this series at 6 p.m. The series ends Sept. 18.For more information, log on to CornerstoneChandler.com.
