GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Residents of the 85051 ZIP code did not receive their mail Thursday because the postal truck carrying it was stolen.

Glendale police said a man robbed a Future Cuts salon near 35th and Glendale avenues after getting his hair cut.

He then ran into a nearby residential area and carjacked a postal truck. Police said he was likely using it as a getaway vehicle.

The truck was later found 10 miles away in a hospital parking lot near 91st Avenue and Thomas Road.

Police said no one was hurt in the robbery and carjacking.

The mail that was in the truck was expected to be delivered by Friday morning.
