Police: Sex Assault Links Confirmed

CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Chandler police said on Wednesday that they have positively linked a June 8 sexual assault to previous cases on Jan. 16 and 31.Police said they believe one man has targeted five teenage girls between the ages of 12 and 14 since June, 2006.The most recent sexual assault happened last month at the Kon Tiki Mobile Home Park. Police said a 14-year-old was assaulted in a bedroom.The three cases since January have been connected by physical evidence discovered during the investigations, detectives said."We knew that it was the same person based on what the victims had told us," said Sgt. Rick Griner of the Chandler Police Department.The previous assaults occurred:
06-04-06 -- 868 South Arizona Avenue
01-16-07 -- 73 South Hamilton Street
01-31-07 -- 1320 North McQueen Road
03-23-07 -- 1100 block of North Monte Vista Street Police describe the man they're looking for as Hispanic, in his 30s and 5 feet 6 inches tall.
