Avondale police are asking for help identifying a man who robbed an Alhambra Credit Union on Tuesday.

Police said the man entered the credit union near Third and Western avenues around 4:30 p.m. with a handgun and demanded money.

Only employees were inside the credit union at the time, and police said no one was hurt.

After the robbery, the man fled eastbound on foot.

The robber is described as a black man in his early 30s, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall and between 130 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a tan baseball hat, dark sunglasses, a white long-sleeved shirt and dark pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call Avondale police at 623-333-7001.
