Tucson, AZ -- (Sports Network) - Evan Frey was 2-for-2 with a pair of runs batted in and the Arizona Diamondbacks got by Mexico, 4-2, in an exhibition matchup. Miguel Montero doubled and drove in a run as part of a 2-for-3 effort while Brandon Watson also collected a pair of hits and an RBI. Yusmeiro Petit got the start for Arizona and fanned four in three innings, allowing one run on one hit. Jorge Cantu provided that run with a solo shot in the second inning and Miguel Ojeda accounted for the other with a home run in the eighth. Rodrigo Lopez got the starting assignment for Mexico and gave up just two hits, striking out four in three scoreless innings of work. Elmer Dessens took the loss after allowing two unearned runs on four hits in an inning of work.
