Position Summary: This position performs various functions in preparation for and live production of the station’s newscasts. The various functions include but are not limited to: studio camera work, audio work, Chyron work, lighting , etc…
Minimum requirements: *all must be met to be considered.
Education: College degree in Broadcast/Technical Specialty School degree preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: One year studio production experience required. One year of experience in a newscast production setting including the following: Studio Camera, Prompter Operation, Floor Direction, Character Generator, Tape or non-linear editing, some audio console experience. Field production experience preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have prior work experience in a team environment. Must be flexible and have a positive attitude that is perfect for working in a constantly changing environment. Posses the ability to perform physical tasks related to studio, including work on ladders and some lifting of heavy equipment. Must be able and willing to work flexible schedules including holidays, nights, weekends, etc…
