Spears, Federline Have New Date With Judge
Britney Spears Loses Custody Of Two Children
Britney Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline are due back in court Wednesday, after a judge ruled Monday that the pop diva must give up custody of her two young children.
Superior Court Judge Scott M. Gordon ruled Monday that Federline will take Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, beginning Wednesday "until further order of the court."
Federline's attorneys filed an unspecified oral motion that prompted the ruling. The judge's order didn't say why he's made the custody change and transcripts from the proceedings are sealed.
Last month the judge said Spears engaged in "habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol." He ordered the pop star to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week. She also was to meet weekly with a "parenting coach" who was to report back to the court.
Both Spears and Federline must complete a "Parenting Without Conflict" class.
Spears, 25, filed for divorce from Federline, 29, last November after two years of marriage. The divorce became finalized in July with a joint custody agreement. Federline has since been seeking greater custody of the children.
Since becoming single, Spears has appeared increasingly erratic and out-of-control.
First, she was photographed at various Hollywood hotspots partying hard with Paris Hilton, with some photos capturing the pop star without panties.
Then Spears shaved her head as paparazzi looked on, beat a car with an umbrella and spent a month in rehab.
