Quarterly CBS 5 Digital Transition Reports

POSTED: 2:08 pm MST April 7, 2008
UPDATED: 12:24 pm MST July 6, 2009

An FCC order mandates television stations file a quarterly report certifying compliance with the requirements of the rules and setting out specifics of other consumer education efforts that the station has undertaken concerning the DTV transition.

The reports will continue through March 31, 2009, for all full-power stations that complete the transition to their full DTV facilities by Feb. 18, 2009.

The FCC said it hopes that consumer education requirements undertaken by TV stations will help insure that no one is taken by surprise when full-power analog broadcasting ceases on Feb. 17, 2009.
