A Pinal County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher, Angelique Graham, was recently honored for her commitment.

Ms. Graham has handled hundreds of thousands of calls during her 15-year-career. She has handled radio traffic from Pinal County deputies and other Pinal County municipal agencies. Ms. Graham was the primary dispatcher on radio traffic for the May 4, 2001, fatal shooting of Deputy Jason Lopez.

Her love for the Sheriff’s Office encouraged her to further her career and test for the position of public safety communications supervisor. She was selected for the promotion and became a part of the eight-member supervisory team earlier this year.

Next week, Ms. Graham will represent the Pinal County Sheriff’s Communications Division at the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials Annual Conference in Houston. She was selected to attend the conference because of being nominated for Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Civilian Employee of the Year.

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division is a 24/7 center, which answers over half a million 911 emergency and non-emergency calls for the Sheriff’s Office and the city of Maricopa Police Department per year.
