Tempe's Big July 4th Festival

Join CBS 5 and the Kiwanis Club of Tempe for an afternoon and evening celebration on Tempe Town Lake for the July 4th Tempe Town Lake Festival.

The festival will take place at the Tempe Beach Park on Saturday, July 4th from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The 58th Annual Fireworks Spectacular will present the best fireworks show in the Valley shot from Mill Avenue bridge.

The spectacular family night ProTix fireworks show will be choreographed to patriotic and classical music.

The CBS 5 July 4th Tempe Town Lake Festival will have something for everyone.

Scheduled to appear:

  • 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. – Telescope
  • 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. – Lil Debbie & Blue Plate Special
  • 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Joey Arroyo Band
  • 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. – Calumet
  • 9:00 – 10:00 p.m. – ProTix Fireworks Spectacular
  • 10:00 – 11:00 p.m. – Calumet
  • There will also be the Fantastic Family Fest that will offer a free inflatable village for all ages with a variety of rides, rock climbing walls, water wars and more! Face painters and relay races will also be available for the kids to enjoy.

    If the heat starts getting to you, no need to worry. Cool off and chill out with water fun and games for everyone in the Arizona Republic Family Splash Zone!

    After the games are done and the rides have worn you out, stop by any of the assorted food courts that will feature hot dogs, snow cones, BBQ and much much more.

    Here’s a list of what’s allowed inside the event:
  • 1 gallon of sealed water per person

  • blankets and portable chairs


  • Here’s what’s not allowed inside the event:
  • No food or coolers

  • No skates, bicycles or skateboards

  • No pets (service animals are permitted)
  • All bags are subject to search.

    Tickets go on sale Thursday, June 4th and are available at Fry's and Fry's Marketplace. There is a $6 ticket price with children 12 and under admitted free. Tickets will be $8 at the gate or $15 for two. On-site ticket sales will stop when the park reaches capacity.
