PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- A motorist who was stopped for speeding ws arrested after a K-9 alerted authorities to 170 new drug paraphernalia items, including pipes and bongs, inside the vehicle, the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said.A K9 deputy stopped the vehicle Saturday afternoon on Interstate 17 north of Cordes Junction.During a discussion, the driver, Travis Moseley, 30, of Iowa, admitted to possessing marijuana stored in a bag on the passenger seat, deputies said.Deputies discovered Moseley's Iowa driver's license was suspended and he was detained while the K-9 sniffed around the vehicle.
The K-9 and subsequent vehicle search revealed 17 grams of marijuana hidden inside the blue bag, deputies said.Sheriff's investigators said they also found prescription medication tablets in an unmarked container and 170 new drug paraphernalia items, including pipes and bongs.Booklets covering paraphernalia pricing were also seized.Moseley explained he intended to sell the pipes and bongs to offset the cost of his move from Phoenix to Iowa, deputies said.Moseley was booked into the Prescott Detention Center on charges of possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana, possession of prescription drugs and possession of paraphernalia.
