Rudy Carpenter had a terrible showing under center for ASU (5-7, 4-5), completing just 13-of-31 passes for 124 yards and one score. The quarterback also tossed an interception and was sacked three times.

With just seconds remaining in the first quarter the Wildcats took a 7-0 lead when Tuitama found Ron Gronkowski for a 17-yard scoring strike.

Arizona State dominated the second quarter, however, using a 40-yard field goal by Thomas Weber, followed by a two-yard touchdown pass from Carpenter to Andrew Pettes, as the Sun Devils went into the break with a 10-7 edge.

The Wildcats came out of the intermission better prepared, and proved it by scoring 21 points in the third quarter.

Midway through the frame Tuitama connected with Delashaun Dean with a 10-yard touchdown pass.

A 12-yard touchdown scamper by Grigsby and a 52-yard punt return by Mike Thomas put the Wildcats ahead, 28-10.

Jason Bondzio nailed a 49-yard field goal early in the final frame, pushing Arizona's lead to 31-10. The would be the final score, as the Wildcats claimed the Territorial Championship Cup.
