PHOENIX -- Hundreds of people lined up at the Circle K gas station at the intersection of Osborn Road and Third Street on Thursday morning to top off their tanks with free gas.Insurance company Allstate sponsored the event, which offered 10 free gallons of gas to everyone who showed up between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. Allstate's America's Best Drivers Report determined that Phoenix drivers are the safest big-city drivers.A total of 615 drivers treated themselves to the free fuel and window wash, and the line stretched for more than a half-mile at some points.Nevertheless, drivers said the queue moved quickly."(The) line is really going really fast," said a woman driving an SUV. "It's just confusing about which line you're supposed to be in."The 50th driver in line said he arrived at about 3 a.m.; some lined up as early as 9 p.m. Wednesday. The later arrival said he didn't mind waiting, he said, saying his "dream just came true."
